Re-Imagining Approaches to Learning and Teaching: Youth and Community Work Education Post COVID-19

This article draws on research undertaken by the Professional Association of Lecturers in Youth and Community Work (PALYCW) collaboration with Open University, University Glasgow Hull. The authors are all part a community practice lecturers teaching higher education (CYW) degree programmes. These CYW programmes professionally endorsed Development professional bodies across UK. They adopt informal methodologies have strong focus preparing students to work as educators young people communities. unique contribution this paper is highlighting experiences, issues challenges presented exploring creative approaches that been developed these educate practitioners. Looking forward context great uncertainty, also set out consider what future might look like for programmes, located neoliberal university. Questions explored included extent which pandemic lead longer term changes learning (HE) how should be navigating society unfolds post COVID-19 basis taking action communities response new formations social injustice inequality conscious intent.
